When you have a site as large as CorvetteForum, with over 53 million posts, content can be hard to find. You will need to be more selective if you want to find something specific. This is partially done using the Advanced Search:

Narrow down the search by selecting the specific sections and also a specific keyword. You can further narrow the results via username and/or time.
That said, the Search on any site like CorvetteForum will have the same issue. It's not a radio-button fix.
Another option is to use Google's search. You can do so by using the search box in the upper-right corner or going to Google's website and typing in your query followed by site:corvetteforum.com to instruct Google to search CorvetteForum.
Google's main business was Search and very few can replicate their resources.
