Paula, I never new Larry, but he is a brother that had a passion that we all share on this forum. He is looking down upon us with a smile on his face, remembering all the great times he shared with you and his "other" love....the Corvette.

Though I didn't know him, sorry to hear about Larry, and sorry for your loss.
May God be with you and your family during this difficult time.

For those that didn't know Larry, I met him years ago when this forum first started. There was a small group that got together in the Old Towne area of Orlando, mostly people from the C3 section. I drove up from the west coast and I believe there was about 6 Corvettes that showed up, a nice small gathering. None of us really knew each other but we had a good time, Larry and Paula are truly nice people and we all said we should stay in contact. Over the years we have stayed at each others homes when in town for car shows, held BBQ's, and even been host to a member from Australia. When Larry wasn't in the best health and I was able we made the trip to help him out around the house with some things, even then he was a great host and never complained. Larry was a very knowledgeable guy when it came to fixing cars and I learned a great deal from him. He was the kind of guy you could always count on to be a real friend, and he would give anyone the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it. The Corvette world has lost a truly great one.
RIP Larry

Hi
This is alexhopes, We have a new section in the Forum that gives you a chance to memorialize members who have passed away. You can write a Eulogy and post pictures in it and it gives other people who knew your husband an opportunity to write a few words in his behalf. Thanks for thinking of his extended 'forum' family.
Our heartfelt condolences and prayers are with you.

Paula,
Lisa just forwarded me the email you sent today. I am so sorry we missed hearing about Larry. He was such a special person---a very unassuming man, with an encyclopedia for a brain. He was always helping me via e mail, especially when I had the auto tranny problem.
As another poster mentioned---your BBQ's after the NCRS shows were great fun! He was a hell of a host!!
After he 1st got sick, I got sick, and time flew by without me getting in touch with you 2. I wish I could turn back the clock for 1 more visit.
It goes to show---Don't put things off.
Please take care Paula.
