Default We'll miss you Chief Larry Blagg

Not sure if anyone was affected by the recent ice storms, but we lost our town Police Chief who was also my wife cousin.

Real good man, did a lot of good on our drug problem in our town and did everything he could do help the offenders if they needed help. Hated to write tickets, and would rather let people off with a warning. Well respected in our community and will never replace him.

I got close to him the last few weeks because he started coming with his wife to the fitness boot camp in the mornings with my wife and I. I would spend 15-20 minutes shooting the crap with him, joking around and what not.....he was a car nut like myself and even had a 76 Corvette. We were supposed to continue the boot camp sessions while our wives were out of town this week (they work together for a bank).

Our power went out last Tuesday at 6:00 pm.....we got the call from my wife's mother around 9:20 pm he had passed.

I'm really going to miss him, for what little time I got to know him. He was 39 years old, that news article is inaccurate about him being 40.

Wow. Far too young and far too good a man to leave this world so soon. Very sorry. Hang in there, friend.

I heard about the chief's tragic death on the TV news in Memphis. I didn't know he was a Corvette owner.

My condolences to you, his family and friends. We commend to God the soul of our Corvette brother.

R.I.P., Larry Blagg
