Mike, you really helped make Ryan’s last month much better than it could have been. Thank you.

According to post #555, Ryan’s Z06 was sold to some unknown to us person. Would be nice to know who has it now.

Sorry buddy. May moved past rather quickly. Hope you’re still still driving that Z06 up there.

Everyone has their trials and tribulations, worries and problems, but this thread makes mine feel so much more trivial and small. I wish I could have met this kid.

I never forget this kid..Every so often I mention him in conversation.....Because of him I try to always enjoy things , people, family etc now and not wait until I get too old or suffer from sickness etc... He has definitely made an impact in my life.

Ten years have passed quickly, I was very lucky to know Ryan personally as he was truly a strong young man. It makes me smile every time his thread gets a post knowing that it has been such a long time since it was started. I am happy to see his story is still being shared all these years later.

a long time ago, someone said, if but one person has a good, kind or happy thought of a person who was in their life, then they live on. and do well for others. I believe that.

I was on my way home today and a red C5Z pulls up beside me, I immediately thought of Ryan. His final resting place is right by my house so I stopped by for a minute. I miss the good car talks we always had.
I have not been back to this thread in a while and it so nice to see so many people continue to read his story.

Interesting that you posted this because recently I had two Ryan related thoughts.

The first was I’m still amazed at how long that funeral procession from the church to the cemetery was. Ryan’s father Brad asked all the folks who had driven their Vettes to the service if we could fall in behind the hearse and family vehicles. As we made the right turn from the road the church is on, to the road the cemetery is on, I looked out my passenger window and the line of cars was crazy long.

The second happened when I was cleaning out a drawer and found my yellow Ryan Salmons Foundation silicone wrist band. Hadn’t seen that in a few years.

Mike
