Ryan was indeed a very special young man. I feel so lucky to have been able to spend some time with him in the week before his death.

PLEASE keep Ryan's father Brad in your thoughts and prayers as Brad is now fighting his own battle.

I felt compelled to look at this section of the forum today. Usually my day goes at 100mph having a ton of stuff to get done

I'm not someone who usually has much emotion in them. I've learned that too many emotions usually just keep you down longer when life has knocked you over. I usually just steam roll ahead

Well I got teary eyed reading several of the pages in this thread today. No one around me ever sees that. But I couldn't help. What courage from Ryan in 2009 and what kindness from you guys ever since. It opened my eyes a little wider and reminded me that its great to slow down and spend some time with those close to us.

May be a enlightening post in such a thread, but in Ryan's honor I am carrying the torch. As some may know, but I was one of Ryan's best friends and was there through his struggle, and ultimately one of his brothers that laid him to rest. I made a promise to Ry that I would finish his car, and due to circumstances out of my control, it may not be in his exact z06 like originally planned, but I'm doing this for you buddy!

Don't know who owns the car now sadly. His grandfather sold it some time back before he passed (almost 2 years now). I heard it was to someone in Indiana I believe.

I too thought of this thread...it has stayed in my mind and I remind myself that life is for living.

My daughter in law, age 34 has stage 4 liver cancer; there is no good prognosis. Yet she lives each and every day with humor, grace, and courage. I imagine Ryan was much like her.
