My Warrior Princess has gone to Valhalla.........
My beloved eldest daughter, Caitlyn was killed last Labor Day. She was a 2LT in the US Army, Military Intellegence Officer with the 35th Combat Aviation Brigade and the love of my life. I can only now begin the deal with this loss but have learned that pain shared is pain divided and joy shared is joy multiplied.
Only 21, she was a beautiful, powerful and accomplished young women. She was AirBorne all the way, Army Expert rated shot with the M16 and could do 88 pushups in 2 minutes even though she was 5'2" and weighted 110.
She spoke Farsi and was completeing her education in Internation Studies. She was National Honor Society, Prom Queen, JROTC Drill Team Commander and awarded the Outstanding Company Commander award for individual service and leadership at the Military Acadamy.
She loved riding in our Corvette and looked great doing it.
She was my Warrior Princess and a Redeemed Woman.
Redeemed women of God have tender, merciful hearts, backbones of steel and hands that have been trained for battle. There is something incredibly fierce in the heart of a woman that is to be contended with, not dismissed, not disdained, but recognized, honored, welcomed and trained.
<(Captivating , 186-188)
Her proudest moment, the Armys newest Butter Bar.
Her job was taking care of her boys and getting the job done. She was hell on wheels.
This is what she loved the most, being a soldier.
This is how her daddy remembers her best. I adored her.

God Bless your daughter and your family!
I have two daughters - 33 and 30 - myself, and can only imagine how I would feel under your circumstances. Just remember she is now a guardian angel for you and your family, watching over you all from up in heaven!
It makes me proud of this country to see such fine young people. She is truly one of "America's BEST"!

From your post I can feel the love you must have had for your daughter. I also lost a daughter at a young age and do feel your pain, there is nothing that I can imagine that causes the pain of losing a child.
May God have Mercy on her Soul
May God also have mercy on her family and friends and ease their pain. I know she is in a better place and you will see her again someday. She is watching over you all and I am sure feels both your love and pain.
God Bless You

From someone who grew up in Tonganoxie, and lives in Lawrence this hits close to home. I know it must be extremely hard to deal with and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Being a father and grandfather, losing one of my children has been the biggest fear of my life. Please accept my most sincere condolences on the loss of your beautiful, precious daughter. I wish I could say something to help your pain and suffering but all I can say is I'm shedding a few tears from reading your post and seeing Caitlyn's pictures
