RIP John M Conley "mouse" dad
Dad passed away at 2am this morning. He was 71 and an avid racing enthusiast and the person responsible for my passion for motor-sports, my fire and enthusiasm in life and for sports and the love for fishing.
The earliest I remember is his trophy he was so proud of that my mom wouldn't let him keep on the TV..( big console TV's in he 60's and 70's). He won his class driving a 57 Chevy 6 cylinder standard trans car... ( might even have been a 3 on the tree). He raced at Sanford Maine. He took me to NE Dragway in the early 70's for a spring national event and we got pit passes and that was it I was hooked. Drag races, local Merrimack college hockey games, Red Sox and Fenway, Celtics, Bruins and the Boston Braves hockey team... Opening day of fishing season...HAHAHAHA a 5 yr old kid at 4am with a cup of hot chocolate and a lemon filled donut... I made it for about 10 minutes before falling asleep.. opening day in Mass was tradition.. dad and I fished quite a bit when I was young and he iced fish right up until the end and was getting the boat ready. I've lived out on Oregon for the past 22 years and dad lived in Maine.. he would come out and we would go salmon or steelhead fishing. Dad was awesome growing up, best dad anyone could ever had.
He worked for United Shoe Machinery Bostich division in Middleton Mass, often working a day shift and at night as night watchman or on snow detail to get make extra money. He did it right for his family, served in the Coast Guard and was an active member at church right up until the end. Rest in peace dad, I miss you and will never forget what you've taught me.
I will be away for a week or so, CC Performance will attempt to operate while I'm, gone please have patience.

Thank you for the condolences, I appreciate it. We are back to full operation now, I thank you all for your patience in this trying time. Dad had a good life and we celebrate it as such. I do have his trophy from his 1960 win though and am going to get it restored.
