Default William (Bill) Turner, Turner Automotive-Corvettes, Victor NY

With great sadness I regret to inform you that William (Bill) Turner, of Victor NY, passed away last night (13th). He had been battling a rare form of blood cancer called Waldenstrom's. His latest days were spent with loved ones and many of the friends he's developed over the years.

With 40 years in business, Bill Turner made Corvette dreams come true for thousands of people. The Corvette community is at a great loss. All of those he's touched will carry a part of Bill with them.

Respectfully,
Nate Chandler

Just got a text message from one of my friends in Rochester about Bill's passing. I knew he had been sick and knew it didn't look good for him, but is shocking just the same! I knew him well and visited his dealership numerous times...mostly just to chat about Vettes. He will be missed! RIP Bill!

Met Mr. Turner somewhere around the year 2000 when our son was a

student at R.I.T.

He was either at his business on a Sunday morning, or opened specially

for us?

Was always impressed with Mr. Turner and his business.

We have Turner Automotive on our favorites list and check it quite

often.

RIP Bill

I just saw this, my wife and I met Bill 2 years ago at his shop and talked for about an hour about vettes as we had just bought one. We never knew about his shop, but after joining the syracuse vette club we were told if we ever needed anything his place was it, parts or service. The next year we went back up and had a new exhaust system put on. There is a ice cream shop down the road and seeing that my wife is handicaped he offered to take us over and pick us back up while we waited for our car. We are so sorry to hear of Bill's passing, our sincere sympathy to his family, and friends. JIM & CINDY.

Very sad to read this. I met Bill when I was buying my first Corvette. I had been in love with the 63 SW Coupe since I was a kid and dreamed of owning one for the next 38 years. When it finally came time when I could afford to own a Corvette of my own I searched for that 63 SW. I found a beauty at Turners shop.
Bill talked to me and asked me more questions than I asked him. He unselfishly talked me out of buying the C2 after knowing I'd be more of a driver than a car show type. He said "buy a brand new C5 with a warranty and enjoy driving it"

He was a true gentleman and I have always remembered him for steering me in the right direction.

RIP Bill.
Peace be with you my friend.
