Sincere condolences to Debra and the family.
He was always there with a kind word and an interesting story about the Alaska he loved. Through those stories, we were able to vicariously enjoy his flying, hunting and fishing adventures.
Farewell Don. We lost you much too soon, but will always remember your friendship.

So sad to read this. Torch seemed like a great guy. I loved his fishing and hunting post and on occasion his military stories.
He and I exchanged a few pm's over the past few years and I will miss his presence on the forum. He often spoke of his beautiful wife (and occasionally posted pictures).
I can't imagine what it would be like to lose a partner, but I know it is not easy. I had a friend tell me once that when it gets too bad, they just focus on the good times and all of the wonderful things that they did together.
Condolences and prayers to you Debra.
Heaven has gained a great moderator. I am sure he is keeping things under control up there.

Donald quietly passed away in his sleep March 2. The cause of death was related to heart disease. I am still in shock and this is very hard to type to you all. Donald enjoyed the forum so much. He was always telling me about the stuff you all were talking about and showing me the pictures.

This is Mrs Torch. I can't reply to the private messages. The box is full. You all decide what to do. I will support whatever you decide and will love it. Thank You, Debra

Wow, I think I can say that many of us envied his day to day life, and appreciated his common sense approach to things. I loved the stories and hoped to meet him one day. I hope you have the support you need locally at this difficult time. I'm so sorry......
