You're welcome Polar Bear! Obviously you knew Torch, I was just reading posts and not yet a member of the forum when he passed, but we all share a fondness for Corvettes, so we know something about each other. From what I can tell Don was quite a guy, one I would have been privileged to know better had I the chance.
Big lesson learned from Torch: I've been waiting for the right financial timing to purchase my Corvette, well screw that! I'm going to figure out how to make it happen NOW. Like I said in my previous post, I just turned 54 and Torch was only 60 when we lost him...so now is the time to make the Vette a reality and not just a dream I read and write about on a forum.
I'm only an hour from the Museum in BG, so I visit several times each year...I always stop by Torch's beautiful bench for a few words before I depart. I'll give him a shout out from Polar Bear next time I'm there!

I still have a saved PM thread - Don and I shared a love of Corvettes, country music and even first names. His passing was a loss to us all. RIP Torch, you are not forgotten!

RIP Don
We shared a love of bald eagles and would swap stories and photographs of our encounters with them. Thinking I might someday make a trip to Alaska, I asked Don where was the best place to find eagles. He quipped, "Just check the dumpster behind McDonalds!"
