My deepest condolences. He seemed like a great guy who lived life on his own terms. He will be missed here.

there is a dark hole in the force. Don will be sorely missed. Is there any way to get word to Noggles?

It's amazing how the passing of a man that most never met in person has affected so many. That right there says a lot about the gentleman.
We know that mere words will not ease the pain, but we pray that the knowledge he affected so many lives in a positive manner does bring some light to your life.
Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Terrible news. He was always upbeat and positive. I enjoyed it when he shared his flying/hunting stories. He will certainly be missed.

We exchanged several PMs when my daughter was thinking about going into the Air Force. Like others here, he was very supportive and encouraging of her. I loved hearing his stories about his time in the AF and how he met his wife there.
He will definitely be missed around here.

Oh no!
He was a fixture here. I know he had a few OT'ers up in his plane a few times. Always admired his fair demeanor in his role here as mod but what really shown thru was he is just a good, good guy.
So sorry for your loss. Many of us here may never have met and probably never will, but after hanging out on CF and OT for so long, you get to know some of these posters. They become part of your experience. Gonna miss him.

Mods, would it be appropriate to add a [RIP TORCH] to the thread name, I would not have found this thread if not directed from another.
