The Passing Of David aka Hameister

RIP buddy.
My advice to anyone within earshot is to make sure your loved ones know that if you should pass away unexpectedly that you had a good life and you were happy, always remember that..
I heard an interview with someone not too long ago and it touched my heart because it was a son speaking about his father who told him that... then of course not long after, he was killed The son said it gave him a lot of closure knowing his father felt that way..
just something to think about next time you have a tender moment with the wife, girlfriend, boyfriend, husband or adult children...
live life to the fullest never know. just buried a friend who was perfectly healthy 6 weeks ago not even 40yo. pancreatic cancer.. diagnosis to the funeral in less than 2 months.

I was hoping this some sort of hoax and am greatly saddened to learn it's not. Please give your mom my sincere condolences. David will be sorely missed.

The fun and beauty of this forum is wrapped up perfectly in everything that has been said in this thread.....and Hammy most likely would post something like: "i've had a good run, enjoy yours, let the other guy enjoy his, and help each other enjoy the ride!" RIP
Condolences to the family

Yes David had everything written down for my mother but also saved on the computer so it was a matter of a few clicks to get on here. My mother wanted me to make to let everyone know how much joy this forum brought him. He would always talk about the different conversations you guys had. He would also bring you guys up when him and I would go out to lunch. I happen to take the picture of his "perfect spot" that appeared in an article.
I also want everyone to know that my mother spent all morning reading all of your posts. She is very grateful for everyone's condolences and responses. Thank you everyone

Most of all, he dearly loved your Mom---that came across loud and clear in many emails and Forum posts. Like most, I never met him and only knew David from this Forum, and he just seemed like a great guy----the type of guy we all wish we had a chance to have a cold one with. Condolences to you, your Mom and the rest of his family and friends.
PS-----I know he would want someone in the family to enjoy his corvette----and remember, he always favored black rims over chrome.
