Default My father recently passed away

My father could never afford to own a Corvette but he LOVED them and would always want to ride in mine when ever he would come to visit from across country. It was my plan to purchase him a vette once I could afford it but he passed away on January 2nd, 2017 at the early age of 54.

I am sad to see him go and I miss him so much. We had great memories of cruising the streets especially when I had the C6 Z06, he literally screamed with joy when we went for some spirited driving after I installed the full exhaust with headers. It really hurts now that he is gone but I am glad that he is no longer suffering. He will forever be a Corvette fan.

I miss you Dad

I'm saddened by your loss. Obviously didn't know him but him loving corvettes is all I need to know he must have been a great man! He'll be right beside you when you ride.

Sorry for your loss and your knowing he is no longer suffering should help with the realization that he is in a better place.

Keep the memories of the good times you shared always with you, and know he is always besides you, in the Corvette or not.

So sorry for your loss of your Dad. We all have the life lesson of grief and loss to bear. However it is a great memory that your Corvette was one of the earthly things that you both enjoyed together!! His spirit will be there as you go forward and smile as you think of him. Pass on the lessons he taught you to others.

Wow, 54! so young.......I feel your pain Destrukt.....I lost my Dad some years ago, before his time, and I still miss him so much.

I'm comforted knowing he's watching over me as your Dad is you, and knowing we'll meet again ............

Prayers and condolences to you and yours.

Sorry for the loss of your Dad
That's an appropriate video memoralizing him. And as young as he was when he passed, remember the good times you had with him.

Thank you everyone for the kind words and support. I am still going through the grieving stages but it is a lot better then the first week. I really appreciate you all looking out for a fellow vette member. God bless

Sorry for your loss. My dad died at 50 and our circumstances seem to be similar. I never did get the chance to repay him or share like I had planned. You will think of him everyday and be sure to do so when in your vette.

My deepest condolences regarding your dad. He was so young. I lost my mom way before her time, and empathize with your situation. Stay strong and think of him each time you drive your vette.
