If you are saying that it was an intentional OD...I'd have to disagree.
From everything he said, I can't imagine him doing it where his family would find him.
There's a reason he chose an alley in Chicago the time you mentioned.

That's the problem with the criminal justice system. They treat every case like your a criminal without looking into it. Yes when he got caught he broke the law, but Nubs wasn't a criminal he was a junkie. He got bagged with 53 bags of heroin and that should of set off some red flags with the court and judge. With that amount of heroin they should have threw his *** right in a in treatment program and if you won't accept that then you can stay in jail until we deem you fit to be let out. If that were the case he would probably be alive now with a better chance of survival. BTW his father constantly enabling him did not help the situation.

RIP Nubain. At least you are at peace now. You told us this day would come in dealing with your battle with addiction. Just sad to see that day is here. I hope others can learn from your story about how bad addiction is and avoid it. Prays for your family and friends.

I was always impressed with his ability to be so open and forthcoming about his problem. So many people hide in the darkness about it. From reading all the previous posts, it is amazing how many lives he touched through this forum. He was truly a special person and will be missed by more than I think he would have ever imagined.
RIP Nubain.

I am going to cast no stones at his father. Until you have walked the walk, there is nothing you can imagine comparable to a kid's behavior that is self destructive. As far as I am concerned a kid could be 90 years old, as a parent your are still biologically compelled to intervene if you can.

Giving them rehabs when they aren't ready or wanting it simply prolongs their inevitable suicide by abuse.
