Bout sums it up. Sky and Nubs had a unique relationship here, Sky called it in the arrest thread. The odd thing to me was how each was trying to prove they were the worst (or best) junkie, I think I called it a junkie fight.
I was yelling at the TV recently on an Intervention binge when this one entitled whiney addict was acting like an idiot, this is how I envision Sky with his anger towards Nubs.
Sounds to me like misdirected anger, perhaps the anger at himself for being so weak to become an addict, and seeing the same weakness in Nubs.

I don't need presentation skills to prove my point. Nobody likes what I say on this subject because they know I am right. I never gave Nubs any credit because there was none to give. You people put him on a pedestal and praise him for what? He was a full blown junkie who never wanted to help himself and never amounted to anything in life, was a complete and utter failure. You want to put people on a pedestal? Do it to the people who were strong willed and beat this thing and made something of their life. Not somebody who dragged everyone and everything down around them because of their weak willed selfish needs. Only the strong survive my man regardless of how many muscles you have.

Almighty Father, eternal God, hear our prayers for Your Son, Jaren, whom You have called from this life to Yourself.Grant him light, happiness, and peace. Let him pass in safety through the gates of death, and live forever with all Your saints in the light You promised to Abraham and to all his descendants in faith.Guard him from all harm and on that great day of resurrection and reward, raise him up with all Your saints. Pardon his sins and give him eternal life in Your kingdom. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen

Can anyone here find the post where Nubs posted pics of him moving **** for his pops... I remember that thread, I think it's when he moved from florida to wisc after some mishaps. He had some great things to say about his pops in that thread.

I started reading this thread early yesterday morning and have kept up since .
A mixture of deep sorrow , anger , shock and frustration prevented me from posting anything suitable , or worthy , for the loss of a great guy .
I didn't know what to say and still don't really know , but here goes .
@ snakec6 --- You're posts are intelligent , classy and genuine . Birds of a feather flock together and that's how I know your friend Jaren was not some sort of loser whackjob jumkie .
He PMd me a couple times to thank me for my 'amateur psychologist' attempts to help him . Losers , bad people and your average typical addict don't do that .
The last time I counted yesterday ; over 130 different forum members had posted and been saddened by the news . That goes to show how much he was liked , and there was a reason for that .
Best wishes and peace to you snakec6 , his other friends , his family and all those affected by the tragic loss of Jaren ..
Cuzz -- still sad , but uplifted by the many kind posts in this thread .

Funny that MrNubain was the "loser junkie", but I think the VAST majority here would trade SkyHigh (in all his glory) for one more post from Nubain.

I really hate when they pass around the, "sorry for your loss" cards at work. l always sit there staring at it thinking I should be able to come up with some meaningful words but I never can. I feel the same way reading this thread the last couple days. I see Nubian was the same age as I am but we sure had different lives. He experienced a lot of things I never have. I enjoyed reading his perspective here.

EVERY ONE of you people in here are a lost cause. You have NO clue how ANY of the addiction process works, how it starts ,where it goes or what it takes to beat it. You don't like things that are said because it's not what you wanted to hear, but it is a reality and fact of life. If it makes you feel better saying your stronger than me because I used drugs and you didn't be my guest if that makes you happy. Addiction is not a joke and people like me will NEVER let their guard down when it comes to this subject. I have to be strong and stay strong to make this work. Do you know just talking about drugs can make people relapse? I have been in a drug setting for the last two days now (talking about it on this forum) and without showing some arrogance, I could set myself up for a fall ( highly unlikely thou as I have too much distance between me and my drug). You people have to look at this from both sides, (reformed- habitual) mine and Nubs, but you can't possibly understand what goes thru our heads because YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN IN OUR SITUATION! I am actually leaving now to give a lecture at a local rehab center where I live. I do this once a month as a favor to the director of the program. And as usual my voice will fall on deaf ears but if just one person benefits from today, well than I had a good day.

Nobody doubts your experience, they just don't think this is the time or place to say I told you so. This was a thread for people to say farewell to a forum member who seemed like a kind soul, even though his life remained out of control. I thank him for sharing reality as he saw it.

Hey snakec6, once things settle down for you and return to some sort of normalcy, get over to CG Gen and check it out. Nubain used to hang out over there occasionally. You can find out anything and everything you need to know about your new to you C6. Look me up if you ever need any help.

Guys,
It takes two to argue. IF "we" ignore Sky's post, he will quit posting.
Personally having a kid that "was" an addict, I get what he is saying. What I don't agree with is saying it here. This is not the place and that is not why the thread was started.
@ Sky High - no matter how mad it makes you, no matter this, no matter that...SOMEONE DIED. Your intention might be good but it is coming off completely wrong. Can you just stop already.
Someone buried their child and friend. Just stop and think about that for a minute.
Snakec6 - sorry for your loss. Enjoy the memories and the Car!

For what it's worth I think you are correct. I believe peoples displeasure is the venue you've chosen to voice these concerns. Just like funerals are not for the dead, they are for the living to remember and say goodbye. This thread is the same here as a funeral we can't attend.
Nobody is arguing the points, just that it it neither the time nor the place to do so.
