I'm hoping I can get a little latitude from my fellow moderators for this post. It was just the right place to post.
Good evening all,
It is with great sadness I'm posting tonight on the passing of our Corvette brother and dear friend Mike Puzach, forum member mpuzach. Mike's wife reached out to me a little while ago to let me know. I'm absolutely in shock. Mike was my friend. Mike embodied everything that I love and hold dear about the Corvette lifestyle. He was a friend that I met because of the Corvette and this forum. That friendship grew into emails and dinners when we were together at Corvette events and endless hours on the phone. Mike's passion was the Corvette and equally as importantly, this forum and helping other owners in any way that he could. He would want you all to know. I asked Jana if it was ok to share here and she was grateful.
There aren't a lot of details to share. Mike and Jana went out to dinner with friends on Saturday evening and upon returning home, passed at some point in the night by Sunday morning.
I ask you to please share your stories and rememberences here as I would love to share them with his wife. Please keep her and Mike's family in your thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time.
Godspeed Mike.
Thanks,
Paul

"In honor of jpee"
I first saw Paul's thread on C7 and posted below. I'll add my condolences to his wife, family and friends.
Paul I saw the heading and thought, "Oh no, please."
I will share two stories that exemplify the Mike Puzach I met and knew. And we chatted via email long before meeting.
One year Mike knew I was going to the Bash and said he wanted to make sure we met and spent some time together. I believe it's the first Bash I went to, and I met you there, too. Mike and I had a grand time talking about cars and his relatively recent move from California. A funny, nice, kind guy to be around.
And the second time, very sadly, was this year. He asked me if I was going to the Bash and I said no, I couldn't make it. He was really sad about that. In all the "I-wish" thoughts I have right now, up there is I wish I had gone to the Bash. I really do.
I'll also say this: there is no greater fan of the Corvette than Mike, from his '05 to his C7 Stingray. And what a fan who can be convincing without trying. The Corvette community has lost a great one. Rest easy Mike Puzach.

Always enjoyed his threads and posts. Had not seen many of late but don't spend any time in C7 Gen. He was clearly one of the good guys around here. Prayers for his family and friends. Rest in peace, Mike.

Oh MY GOD. To say I am stunned is an understatement of epic proportions. To say I am heartbroken doesn't begin to describe my grief. I have known Mike from the Forum and the Museum for 10 years. He was a true friend, a gentleman, a Vetteman, a loving husband and a Patriotic American. Vaya con Dios, my friend - I will see you on the other side. Jana, If you have the occasion to read this, please accept my most heartfelt condolences.
