Hello to all - new kid on the block
Just joined the other day. I have an "04 convertible "commemorative"... not sure what all is so commemorative about it - stiching on the seats and the color - and the fact that I love it. I've been in love with corvettes ever since age 6, when my friend's mother got one, a '63 I think. She would give us a ride to school in it. He still has that corvette in his garage in GA and I still think about it. I wish I could find C-3 convertible for not too much money just to give it a good home. I had what I like to call a "defining moment" in my life last weekend, which has led to a renewed and intense interest in the corvette. I went to the corvette museum and the assembly plant in Bowling Green. Now every corvette I see has much more meaning. If you have not been to the plant, and you own a corvette, you should make plans to go check it out. I dream of picking up a Z06 at the museum some day and driving it home. I just wish the Z06 would come as a convertible... maybe some day. I see a lot of folks from the Great State of Texas here. Howdy neighbor! Are there any good corvette clubs in the Dallas/Ft. Worth/ Denton area? Thanks for letting me join this corvette forum, it looks like a good one. Hope to pass you on 1171 or 2499 sometime.

Welcome aboard and congrats on the 04 Corvette. I fully agree with you comment about the trip to BG for the NCM and BG Assembly Plant.

There is another one that looks just like mine around here - the only other one like it that I've seen. I bought mine from Huffines in Lewisville about a year and a half ago. Had some service issues with them folks... but that's another story. I'll watch for you!

It's true! There are millions of corvette owners in this country, and I'll bet only a small percentage have seen where they're put together. It's a lot more than just a car - it a school of thought, a state of mind, a way of life!
