I was a new owner
Actually my 3rd one, but a very bad experience on this one. I ordered a new 2008 with npn, 3lt, z51 and crystal red. Before mine came in another with the same color and some additional equip was available as the person ordering lost his $$$$. I fell in love and took it. This vehicle had been on the showroom and prior to leaving the dealership my salesman told me he owed me a detail. Great, you want to spiff it up, go for it. The next morning I pulled it out and washed it and found 3 scratches approimately 20 inches long on the hood. Fine, but deep. I called the dealership and my salesman said that's why I owe you a detail. I took it back that morning and their detail guy quit after a couple of hours of work as the scratches went through the clear. They gave me a couple of options and after some tears I gave them the car back and said they could keep the one I ordered as well. They gave me my money back with out a fight and I'm sure they could've made me eat it. The one I ordered came in and that's another story, but the short of it is I'm carless and actually thinking of waiting untill the weather get's better and taking delivery at the factory. Ok, I've vented.

Sorry about your bad experience with the dealer. That can really screw up your head. If you can, order one and go for the museum delivery.
I guarantee, it's worth it!

Aloha and welcome to the CF, sorry to hear about the car, but nothing to vent about as the dealer took care of things and gave you, your money back. They could have made it difficult for you but from what they did sounds like they are one of the better dealerships and that they deserve a second chance.

Welcome to the forum. I would have done the same thing, although there are some forum members that seem to think this is just a minor thing. I posted a reply about a battery compartment lid not shutting right on a new 08 and got reamed for it. You sound like my kind of fellow. If your going to spend that kind of money for a dream, the dream needs to be right,,,, right?. Best of luck on your next one... I heard about the 2009 Vette today, over 600hp, fastest car ever made they say. Can't wait to see it...

It was a real big thing to me....not disclosing and I'd purchased an 02' Silverado from this same salesman. This is once in a lifetime deal for me so it really soured the experience. I admit, I am **** about my vehicles but that's just me. Glad to see I have COMPANY!!! Thanks for the reply....
