Hi Everybody
Well the kids are grown and it's time for me to come full circle and buy another Corvette (1981 Red/Red Mirror T-Top RIP two months after I got married :.) ) I posted an info request on the C5 forum requesting info about that generation as I'm starting the preliminary search at this point. I have all the time to make the right decision and want to make sure I know what I'm doing when the time comes. If anybody has some insights regarding the reliability, etc of this generation I would appreciate the info. Thanks!

Welcome! You will be amazed at the difference in your 1981 and a C5.
As suggested, go the weights, strengths, ratios, etc. sticky on the C5 Forum for a lot of information on the C5.
Having come from a '93 C4 To an '04 C5, I can tell you that the C5 is better in every way.
Buy the newest lowest mile you can get.
