Yes these cars have plenty of motor for a 17 year old, typically from what ivesseen its the kids whose mommy n daddybuy there kid there "dream car" using this term loosely becausee these kids want a mustang or the new challenger and they wreck them or get traffic tickets whichin turn generates high insurance rates for kids who waant those cars who are mature im 23 just bought my first vette 05 z51 the sad part my insurance is cheaper on my vette than my audi with a lowr deductible so I hold the vette community to high standard in that respect, knowing these guys and gals understand what there driving I am proud to say I drive a vette not because its fast I drive it because I love these cars and the people who drive them all share a common interest as well as they respect and treat these cars the way a vette lover should treat them oh and its american lol ,I too was raised around vettes and I know the feeling of finally owning your dream car without mommy n daddy,so enjoy it bud and enjoy it even more on the track welcome to the forums and drive safe!
