Default my first true sports car

hello forum, i just traded in my 09 cobalt ss for an 07 c6 earlier today. i never really been much of a vette fan so ill explain how i ended up with one. i never really like how vettes looked ever since i was young, i just wasnt into the stingray shape with the pop up headlights. well that changed in 05, i thought the 05+ models were beautiful. but to fast forward, last year i was finally able to afford another performance car so it became a toss up between the infiniti g35 and cobalt ss. i drove a g35 which was my dream car up till that point and i wasnt impressed. it was loud, vibrated hard and hard to get anymore power with bolt ons. so i ended up getting another cobalt(i had a supercharged cobalt in the past) but this turbocharged balt was a different animal, a beast with just a tune. but the power was just coming out at the wrong end. the torque steer was so bad that the car wasnt very much fun, and it didnt have very much presents on the the road.

so i decided i wanted a rear drive car if i was going to do some serious mods. i told a friend at work who owns a 06' gto that i was thinking about getting a infiniti g37. he told me i should get a corvette. i said told him i couldnt afford the gas. he bet me that the c6 got better gas mileage than the g37......... then i found out that it did, lol. so i thought my insurance would go up through the roof...........but it was only a few bucks more than the cobalt. so i started searching for one in my price range. the only ones i could find were hundreds of miles away unitl last week one popped up on autotrader.com here in town but also did a 10' camaro ss which was cheaper. so i went to the car lot to drive both, leaning towards to camaro. but when i got there someone was in the process of buying the ss. so i ended up going for a test drive in the vette and i was very impressed. after fighting with the dealership over price/payments i ended up with a getemwett red 07 c6 (z51).
so far everything is good except i dont like how far the clutch travels to the floor, it sucks.

i plan to do alot of mods, so i have alot of reading to do to learn about this car. im sorry in advance if i ask questions that have been ask already. pics to come soon.

Welcome.

I got my first Vette last November. Like you, I was never a Corvette fan until November. Then I rode in a '66 convertible, didn't like it but liked the concept of the 2 passenger sports car with a V8, test drove 3, bought the last one and I've been smiling ever since.
