Default New guy - Will buy first Vette soon

I am turning 50 later this year and have decided to buy a 50 year old Corvette as a birthday present to myself. I have never owned a Vette yet, but have been wanting a Mid Year car for a long time.

So I will be looking for a '64 Conv soon. I am excited to join the Forum as I have a lot to learn before making my purchase.

Thanks in advance for all of your knowledge, it has been helpful already.

These corvettes are 50 years old and have a lot of issues like any other car that old. Sellers use miss leading terms and there are a lot of fakes out there. Hire an expert to inspect the car before you buy. It took me three years to find a rust free and reliable silver coupe. See you in the C1 & C2 section.

Thanks for the advice. I am already learning that it can be tricky to get the truth in many cases.
