First Corvette! C3
Hi All,
Finally took the leap after wanting a Corvette most of my life. Found a '78 for a price I couldn't pass up. It's a basket case right now, motor (350) threw a rod, been sitting in the weather for about a year with the t-tops off, interior essentially trashed. This, however, is exactly what I've been looking for. A Vette I could modify however I wanted without feeling too guilty about it. It's going to be a driver because I feel that's why these cars were made.
Not planning on doing a frame-off yet (don't have the room presently) but still going through it fairly well and rebuilding, frame-off maybe in a couple of years after I'm more familiar with the quirks and what I want out of it. Right now just want to get it road worthy by next summer.
Been combing through here for the last couple of days and it looks like I'm in the right place! I'm sure I'll have a lot of (stupid) questions.
