New z06 owner in UK
Hi All,
just recently bought a MY06 z06 to do some transcontinental trips through Europe. Absolutely love the car but that's to be expected.
No pics yet as I hope to detail it today but the car is Red and looks and drives fantastic.
Aside from the Z we also have an e39 M5, a classic Mini cooper and a sensible Volvo V40 diesel (hey it does 80mpg and fuel here isn't cheap!!)

Cheers all
trying to clean the car over here is a bit of a time consuming effort with everyone stopping to chat.
Best question, "lovely car, always loved these, is that the 3.0 v6?"

This gets my nod for the OPTIMA Corvette of the Week. It looks like you were asked one of the famous dumbest questions. Haha.
Kudos on your E39 M5 (the last great 5 Series) and your classic MINI.

OPTIMA Presents Corvette of the Week: British 'Vette
New Corvette Forum member "hungryhorace", the lucky man who can call himself the owner of this week's Corvette of the Week, is a total G. He just picked up this 2006 Z06 so that he could "do some transcontinental trips through Europe". What an awesome human being, right?

Welcome and what a really cool C6. Take lots of pictures of your trip, it would be an interesting trip. I just did a similar trip with 4 new Mercedes from the factory in Germany. I have a cousin who lives in the UK.

wow thanks all! Hadnt seen the thread as work has been a bit hectic, 4 days in to ownership and just did a 1000 mile round trip, cars to be driven right?
Loving the car, absolutely without doubt my favourite to date.
then some bar steward photoshopped the car after a local breakfast meet at some local manor, got to love it when the landed gentry are petrol heads!
And the dumb questions keep on coming such as "whats it like on gas, is that really left hand drive, what model Ferrari is it and the worst - Ive always loved these mustangs"

There are a few planned, probably doing a French alps tour finishing on the lakes of northern Italy in the summer and hoping to blast across Germany/Poland to visit Auschwitz at some point in the new year too, had hoped for end of this month but will have to see what the weather is like, don't fancy 2000 miles on huge wheels and rain!

I know these aren't Vettes but they are our other family members
The mini is called Percy (don't ask) and has been fully restored ground up, still has interesting features as got the original wiring loom so I'm sometimes finding new ways of getting old things to work!
The Beemer has no name, its looking a little lonely as I've not driven it since I got the new toy but it will be the winter hack and family holiday car.
Last year we drove down to the South of France for a week and then came home via the Col de Bonnet which is the highest road in Europe - simply breathtaking views. The two bw shots were taken this year at the famous start/finish pits of the Isle of Man TT course.
My baby girl loves cars, she says go faster so like any accommodating parent I do - in the vette she whails with laughter (all done sensibly of course!)
