My wife and I are the 2nd owners of a 63 vert that she drove to Putnam High School on Route 66 in OKC! In 67 her father co-signed a loan and bought it from a OKC Chevy store, used car lot. She drove it just around the area and we know for 100% certainty that the odometer is correct. The car was parked in 74 during the oil embargo and went to pieces. In 84 I married her and pulled the car out of the backyard and brought it to Dallas. I did a frame on restoration and being an Oldsmobile guy it has been driven less than 2k miles over the last 29 years. I took the car cover off and took a few pictures. The plan is next year I'm going to "thin the herd" a bit and sell my 67 442. In the meantime I will be taking notes and getting ready to go through the 63. She just retired and wants to drive the car. Immediate need is a new water pump. Anything I do I will restored it with correctly dated parts as much as possible. With the 442 sold and I should have my 64 F-85 Pro-Touring build road ready by the middle of next year, will have time for the Corvette.

According to the tag it should be Tuxedo black with a red interior. Back in 84-85 I put those Hooker headers on with a stainless steel baffled exhaust system-no mufflers. After all the years in dry storage, stuff looks new. The M-20 and rear end has never been apart. The cast iron exhaust manifolds, the thumb screw master, original shifter, and a lot of the chrome ignition shielding is in boxes in the shop.

Car starts right up, the radio and speaker work! The first thing I need to do is flush the cooling system, buy a correct dated water pump and change all the hoses. The water pump is shot, although the rubber hoses "look" fine no cracks etc, I put those on in 85!
