VetosVet intro
So I bought my first Corvette. A 1984 Crossfire induction model. I know many of you think lowly of this Vet. But I am surprised to find that with an intake manifold change It can pick up over a second in the 1/4 mile. And It was faster and more sticky than the '82.
Anyway, It had a blown up motor and wasn't running when I bought it for 1700. It is otherwise in good shape with only 28,000 mi. We found the engine had a badly galled crank and 1&2 con rods broken. So We put a brand new GM Goodwrench 350 in it. Priced at 1760 from Jegs. It has a few issues yet and my project partner and I are sorting those out.
About me I have 2 Thunderbird SC's, A Buell 1200R, a Honda VF 1100S Sabre, and a Triumph Spitfire. This is the first GM Product that I have ever owned. I have been a professional front-end and brake mechanic but that was some 30 yrs ago. However I have continued to do 99% of my own car and motorcycle maintenance and repair over the years.
Just looking forward to receiving help in my new project and returning my own 2 cents from time to time.
