Hi all,
I'm new to the group, but, not new to Corvettes. Although, new to Corvettes that are driveable
I have a C1 1956 that was my dad's. My brothers and I dreamed all our lives of having a chance to drive this car. My dad promised for years (47 to be exact) that the car would be restored as we each approached driving age.
Whelp, you guessed it. Never happened.
My dad was the greatest dad in the world and gave all of his time and money to his kids, so, there was never anything left to take care of the Vette. Until now - I am undertaking the ENORMOUS project and hope to have this beauty rolling again. I lost my dad in 2014 and am determined to get this car on the road in his memory.
I've just started the process and have a very long way to go, so, looking forward to sharing some ideas and utilizing the expertise of so many seasoned veterans!
Here's a picture of where I'm beginning... no laughs and no realists, please - I know it will be a huge, long, expensive, frustrating, etc, etc job, but, I'm up for it! Where's there's a will, there's a way!
