Default New C2 guy in Georgia

Just got my first Corvette, a 63 convertible. I probably paid too much but its a beauty and will post pics. My first question is about the engine. It has a 350 crate engine that runs great. I plan to use the car for joy riding. Should I be concerned about getting a period correct 327 for it? The rest of the car is pretty much like factory and most of the durable parts seem to be original or close to it. There are some other things that need work like a vinyl crack near the radio. Since I don't have much money left I want to put it to the best use possible. On that note, anybody looking to buy a boat? I have a feeling I wont be using that very much from now on!
