Trying to find my C2
I'm trying to find my 1966 390 L36 in California. I have the license plate number but no VIN. CALIFORNIA restricts info on registration of owner. Anyone know how to find my black coup? Thanks!

I did this a few months back for a 1993 Mustang Cobra my mom sold 15 years ago. I called her insurance company (State farm) and sweet talked the lady into digging through the "files in the basement" to get it for me. She called me back and there it was, the VIN to the long lost Cobra. How I actually found the car isn't worth mentioning on the forum. Let's just say "I know a guy". Hope this helps. Good luck!!

I want to thank all of you for helping me with great suggestions. Many things that I didn't consider, but you guys have the past experience that I needed. The insurance angle is good and as one responder said " it may be a different color or in another country"
