Camaro Guy, now a C6 Z06 Owner Intro!
Hey all! I am not exactly a new member, and definitely not new to Chevrolet performance vehicles. I co-started CamaroZ28.Com in 1996 and have had a few Camaros over the years. (More here - https://theblock.com/news/camaro-disciples-jason-debler).
After selling my 2010 Camaro SS SEMA car 5 years ago, I have been itching to get something back in my garage to replace it. I was looking for a good car for the money, starting with a 2014-2015 Camaro ZL1 and a friend suggested that I consider a C6 Z06. I had always wanted one and the price vs. performance value is in a real sweet spot these days. Plus, my son is off to college and I never really needed much of a back seat. In addition, I just turned 45 so I was due. Just kidding on that last one. But anyway, I added a Z06 to my search list.
Long story short, I couldn't find the ZL1 in the combination I wanted (wrong color, or had a sunroof, or was automatic, etc.) but I did see a clean 2009 C6 Z06 at a dealership in Florida. 9,3xx miles (and I am the third owner, according to Carfax), right color and right extras, and at the right price. I made the deal and yesterday (the first day of summer), it was delivered.
See attached pics, and here is a very brief clip of me taking a quiet drive that morning (didn't want to wake the neighbors) after it rolled off the trailer...
I already love it. It is spotless except for a couple of very hard to find pebble chips on the front. The only mods I know of is that it has a K&N intake, a Mild 2 Wild unit on it, ZR1 skirts, and I was surprised to find a Sprint Booster. I don't know if anything else had been done to it. (If you are reading this and happen to be one of the two previous owners of this car, please PM me!).
I plan to do a few things to it over the next few months but for now I am just going to enjoy it.
