Default My first Corvette !

Hello ! Tomorrow I'm going to get my 1982 Stingray. It's almost all standard. It's running, but what would you recommend to verify for safety?

Thanks In Advance !

Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum. I purchased my first corvette December 30th last year. It's a 2011 torch red base model 6sp with 35k miles. Sine then I've racked up 6k miles and hastefully modded it with a full exhaust and wheel package. I've owned several tuner cars and always wanted a v8 rwd coupe. I guess I hit the jackpot. The c6 body has always been a favorite of mine and the performance and handling it boasts are on key. I cannot wait to continue to mod it as time goes on and i'm anxiouky looking foward to spring to bring my car out of hibernation. Stay safe everyone.

Default James/Indianapolis '99 FRC

Hello everyone,

Just picked up my second vette, a '99 FRC. Can't quite afford to get into the C7 big boy/girl game yet, but I can sure build an award winning C5!
My first vette was a '99 Vert (see pix in my profile). Took me 2 years to build/restore/customize it, but once I completed it, (3 for 3) consecutive first place wins in the regional car shows!
Looking forward to seeing what I can do with this obscure FRC model. EXCITED!!!

I also want to say that before actually joining, this forum has been a LIFESAVER for me!!! Thank you all for the knowledge that is on here!!!

James

Default Just Purchased!

Hey guys my name is Josh from Grand Rapids. Just purchased a 2008 LS3 Corvette, so wanted to introduce myself. I will admit I don’t know much about the car yet, but I’ve always wanted the American made Corvette. Looking forward to being on the forum!

Hi! I picked up a 2002 Z06 about a month ago. I'm planning to get it ready for the track at High Plains Raceway near Denver. Upcoming track mods are brakes, shocks, radiator, safety. I live in Laramie, WY.

New to the forum. Just purchased my first C5 ever; it's a '99 convertible standard with 53K miles. Seems to be in really nice shape.
Owned a couple of '78 Pace Cars and a '68 convertible in the late '80s, but haven't owned a Corvette since.
Looking forward to learning about and experiencing the C5. This forum looks like a great source of invaluable information.
Thanks for having me.

Default NorCal 1st time owner

Hi,

Just picked up a red 99 with 27000 miles all on it.

1st corvette I've owned (always wanted a late 50's car, but could never afford one), obtained through an estate sale. Everything works fine except the non functioning DIC switches (likely an IPC problem from what I've been reading here), but I'll figure that out soon enough (though several companies aren't doing the work anymore).

This is going to replace two other cars, a 2001 Honda Insight (yes, you read that correctly!), and a 2015 Hyundai Sonata. I'm not commuting long distance anymore, so I'm treating myself to something with much more pizzaz.

Happy to be here, and glad to see such an active community.
