Hi, I'm Ben, just got myself a red C4, 95, automatic, nothing fancy.
wasn't looking for another project but the previous owner posted it on CL and asked for a trade offer, i texted him and offered one of my motorcycles which i don't use and he liked it.
so.... what can i say? i already have a 79 Z28 that i am working on, a 69 Eldorado that i neglect, few other toys and a brand new S90 for a daily use, but i always loved the C4 and my girlfriend don't want to drive a stick so it's a cool ride that she can borrow.
i have no idea what i am going to do with this car as far is improvements, for the moment i am just going to fix everything that doesn't work well, i will dig into this forum to learn more about what is better when getting parts, for now i ordered new floor mats, brake rotors, pads, VSS, weatherstripping, front shocks and polyurethane bushings.
the things that are bad with the car:
Speedometer doesn't work as well as the cruise control, the previous owner replaced the transmission (paid over $2000 around 10 months ago) and they told him that the VSS unit is no good, i have no clue why they installed a transmission without a new VSS?!
the horn doesn't work, ignition switch was changed 4 months ago and they noticed that the wiring of the horn in the steering wheel are bad.
rear glass window is separating from the roof (i'll take it out and reinstall it correctly).
the original speakers suck! seriously, i like quality sound, opted my daily with the B&W system, will have to remove the carpet and rewire.
i also don't get the transmission, can't shift it into 1. like there's something stuck, works well on 2 and both of the D.
no parking brake, goes up and down freely.
door panels are loose.
so it's going to be fun working on all of that crap, when it's all good i'll start digging into upgrades, my background is very colorful with cars and the only thing i am missing is spare time.
