Just about to get my first American car, a 2001 corvette. Spent the last 6 months deciding whether to get a Mustang or a Camaro and then saw a C5 last week and wait over
It will be a second car for weekends but really excited about getting it.
Joined here as my second car always gets more love and attention than the daily and I've got everything to learn aboutbut Corvettes and no idea where I can get it serviced either.
off to do lots of reading.

Hello mate, welcome to the forum, it really is an amazing resource for Corvette owners and enthusiasts from all over the world.
I live in Cambridge, England and bought my first Corvette in October last year, haven't had musch use out of it due to the English weather but very pleased with it so far.

Well thanks for all the welcomes guys. Sadly my C5 fell through, so much for trusting somebody and putting faith in their word, lol. But never mind, for a little bit less! I have just put a deposit on a fairly heavily, cosmetically, customised C6 which I absolutely love! It is 6 years newer, high mileage but doesn't seem to be an issue on '07 cars and if anything happens an excuse for an engine upgrade Picking it up in about 4 weeks. Can't wait. It is supposed to be spending most of it's time underwraps but after a quick drive of a C6, I think this one might have to brave the weather a fair bit and just get used to being washed down!
One question, the spec says it has Magentic Selective ride control, I forgot to check the colour of the shocks, but I didn't see a controller on the center console. Is that possible?
Not fussed really, if it has it great, if not coilovers in the near future, if it feels it needs them.

Aftermarket cosmetic parts for this car seem outrageously expensive!
