Just bought '98 C5 Base Coupe
I just bought a '98 C5 Base Coupe, Blue with manual trans. I'm 44 and this is my first car that could ever be considered sporty or fast. My other car is a 2004 Scion Xa with 108 hp 1.5L auto so while you guys might think 345 hp is old news, it's a rocket ship for me! I've been wanting a sporty car for a while and did a bunch of research. I like the C5 bang for the buck, LS reputation, and the C5 body is so sexy. The car has 90k miles on it and looks great inside and out and runs perfect. There are a few issues like AC not working, one muffler fell off, and dim climate control screen but because of those issues I got it for just $9k! Seems like a great deal and I'm super stoked about it. On the 100 mile trip home it drove amazing. Can't believe 1500 RPM @ 70mph and still able to climb Donner Summit in 6th. I'm sure I will be learning a lot from you guys so thanks in advance for this great forum.
