Default Semi new

Been here a year, but not on in a long time. Last year picked up a 1982 C3 Crossfire for a good price with a ton of parts. Main thing was paint was shot, didn't know that paint was pricey and bought the car. Was hard to find a painter in my area, got a deal and paid $5000 for paint with no body work. Was original silver/claret red, now is just silver. Looks good, runs fairly well and this spring redoing the crossfire system, which is not too bad if you read up on it and don't over complicate things. Have a DCS manifold, all parts to rebuild injectors, fuel pump from an 86 and have been reading up for many months on it, so taking old system off, , rebuilding and ultrasonic cleaning, then reinstall, time according to procedure and cross my fingers. Interior needs a little work, and have enough spare parts that came with it to redo the suspension front and rear. AC works-134A, had to change dash panel bulbs- many burnt out and center gauge cluster as well, what a pain in the a$$.

darn things are not fun to work on interior, too cramped to move around, hands don't fit most places, and things not easy to find. live and learn

As jehuds10 says, "belated welcome!"
From the photos it looks like a very nice paint job.
The DCS manifold will really help. IIRC it added in the neighborhood of 40hp to a Cross-Fire/TBI engine, and especially opened up the intake air flow.
Best wishes with your efforts.

Hey Tim - welcome and best of luck as you go through the process of getting your 82 in shape. The C3 section should have some good info for you about the car.

lot of small stupid things, the power antenna does not come up for about 5 min, then all of a sudden it works, then is intermittent like that, power to relay from radio, don't feel like ripping into it yet, takes while to warm up, thermostat is good, just doesn't get up to good operating temp. suspect fan clutch
