I got my first taste of Covettes back in the Eighties! I was in my early 20's and bought a well worn 78 from a body shop. The paint was oxidized, the interior trashed and the motor ran rough, but the girls loved it.
I didn't have the money for registration and insurance so I just used the tag from my old work truck. Oh how I enjoyed her...until I got pulled over for speeding, wrong plates, no registration, no insurance and suspected stolen vehicle. Yep, off to jail I went, and the car got impounded! I never saw her again!!!
The car turned out to be registered to the shop owner, but in Atlanta, Georgia, rather than Texas. I vowed then and there, to someday replace her, and last Sunday was the day!!!
I bought a Black 1980 L48 Coupe, with 45K original miles sight unseen, from a gal in Jacksonville, Florida for 5K!

Thanks
Thank you for the Welcome...here are a few pictures that she sent, I did have a friend go buy and take a look at the old ride...twice...the first night it was dark, on flats, with a dead battery...the next morning, he went back, tires aired up and a jumper box to start the car... he said everything checked out, and it actually drove like a dream.

Thank You Guys
I am looking forward to learning about Corvettes and experiencing the Excitement! I have a lot of work to do on the car before she is where I want her, but it will all be in fun! Thanks again!
