Nick H. from Frederick, CO: New '97 C5 6MT
Hello, my friends. Longtime car guy and new C5 owner here.
I have had somewhere like 36 cars, trucks, and motorcycles, including an '84 C4. I really loved that car - Doug Thorley 4 + 3, red-on-red, aftermarket exhaust, 25 mpg and targa top. Had to sell it when I lost my situation back in 1991.
New car is a '97 6MT in Quicksilver, some kind of intake, some kind of droney exhaust, quick-shifter, 64k miles, great shape. Last owner stuck it in his garage and drove it 4k miles in 14 years. Great shape.$14.2k
I take possession Monday.

Welcome to the forum. I believe you mean your car has a Doug Nash 4+3 transmission - I had a red on red ‘84 just like yours.

Damn thing almost killed me when it downshifted in the middle of a very severe rainstorm - I had nearly worn-out tires and I spun. Hit the jersey barrier and it cracked up the back of the car a little bit, but 5 repairs were done to get the fiberglass to stop cracking!
