New Member..C3 interests
Hi All, I'm Jim and in Central Florida. I'm new around here and found the website while looking for a C3. I"m still looking. I'd like a 68-72 preferably small block/4spd car. While rare options are cool, I'll probably do some pretty serious suspension upgrades and put the car in the Resto-mod/Pro-touring category but with stock fenders. Either a convertible or Coupe might work. Depending on the price of the car, I might be willing to trade or need to sell a very nice 2012 Boss 302 to fund it. (no hating on the Ford please...It's got 444 hp and revs to the moon)
Experience-wise, I've had everything from Porsche 911 to a restored original MO code 1968 RS Z/28. I've road raced with SCCA and some other sanctioning bodies for over 20 years. I've have the pleasure of working with and instructing a few times with the Optima Ultimate Street Car guys. I'm pretty handy with a DA sander, my lincoln welder, and my old SATAJet sprayer. I'm not afraid to use any of those on this next project.

Welcome aboard Jim. Best of luck with your search and upcoming project. Hopefully you'll post some updates over in the C3 forums. It sounds like you have a great skill set for such an endeavor. We just bought a "72 Coupe and couldn't be happier. These cars are tons of fun!

Keep the Boss and save the grief. Every car is over priced now. Wait till late fall when the wifes are pushing us to sell because they want the garage space.

Good Idea. Funny thing is, my wife wants me to keep the Boss too. And the RX7 Turbo....and her Mini Cooper. She is encouraging the Vette and wants to get a Bobtail Bronco for herself. I'm a lucky guy!!!
