Just purchased a 2011 Grand Sport 3LT in Supersonic Blue Metallic. Looking forward to any and all recommendations and tips for a newbie. I have a Snakecharmer fresh air intake from Vararam that was installed by the first owner. and I have installed the Mild 2 Wild remote exhaust. The Vararam looks like it blocks a fair amount of radiator space so I am going to change out the engine thermostat to a 160f that I got from Summit Racing. Gonna update the stereo head and get front and rear cameras installed this week. Next big item will be headers. I'm not interested in going too wild so a supercharger is probably not in my future.

Congrats on the purchase of your C6 and welcome to the forum. Post up pics and details of your car in the C6 General section of the forum - other C6 owners would like to see your car.

Welcome from a neighbor in Round Rock, Texas. SSB is a great choice in colors! I’d recommend giving more thought to going to a 160 thermostat. (Lots of opinions on that in C6 Tech/Performance) Enjoy your new ride!

If interested, there are (2) really good Corvette Club's in the Area and both have show's coming up in the very near future: (1 in Slidell). They are Northshore Corvette Club & Greater New Orleans Corvette Club. Please reach out if interested....all the best.

Yeah I've seen the Pros and cons comments on the thermostat. I did go with the Lingenfelter as I know the name and know they are a high performance only type of vendor. Mostly it seems people were having problems with a bad batch of possibly Mr Gasket tstats. I have mine but haven't installed it yet. Bad weather and busy at work but I hope to get to it before the end of September.
