New here, just bought a C7 torch red.
Just picked up a c7 A8, 8,500 Miles, (Had to get torque converter replaced right away because of the A8 shutter.)with competition seats, and clear roof. Just installed the corsa xtreme axle back with the borla x pipe. Tints all around and windshield as well. Continental dsw tires. All emblems blacked out and front chrome strip in bumper has also been blacked out. No other mods. Wish it didn’t get cold here in Illinois so I could drive it year round. Not looking forward to putting it away already.

thanks for that. I actually had the TC replaced already. Fixed that problem. Just a hard jerk/shift in the morning when I go from park to drive. There’s a bulletin I saw to fix this. Something with the oil pan draining or the oil draining from the TC I believe. One of those two. Not sure the fix, I’m just waiting until I have to put the car away to bring it in.

Some have said they just always drive the A8 in manual mode and use the paddles to shift the car to prevent this from happening. There is a loooooonnngg thread here if you look, I couldn't find it.

I think the range unit is intended to prevent failure in the TC new or old. It's to prevent from going into ECO mode which is what causes the convertor to constantly lock and unlock when for instance in traffic that is slowing and speeding up.
