On the Hunt for a C5 Z06
I have longed for a C5Z since the came out and I was incidentally 16 years old.
I am now fortunate enough to be in the market for a medium to higher mile example. This works well for me since I am not buying as a collector vehicle but more as a now and then driver/ track day car. I have already learned a lot poking around this forum and appreciate the information folks have taken the time to post.

It looks like I found my Vette. I am flying to Oklahoma to pick it up next Friday. There was however a bit of a change of plans. The car is a 2000 coupe with fixed roof or fixed roof coupe rather than a Z06. I am purchasing the car from a forum member here. I think it will suit my needs well as it has a highly upgraded driveline as well as the the body style of the Z06 that I like.
Future modifications will involve swapping the engine for a forged and studded LS1 which will eventually have 2 57mm turbos strapped onto it. It seems to be kind of an unpopular modification here but I am considering adding the Z06 brake ducts and using them to cool a couple heat exchanges for an air to water intercooler.
First thing is first though, I need to get out and just enjoy the car for the rest of the Fall.
