Not so new in Iowa
Joined the forums back in 2012, mostly a lurker. I had a 2009 3LT Z51 and came here for information
on problems, mods, and all the other good stuff. Had the car about 2 years when I stopped by my local
dealership and had the owner toss a set of keys at me. He said go drive this.
Car was a 2013 Hot Wheels Edition Camaro. Very nice looking car. Took it out and drove it some.
Looked at the sticker price and thought HECK NO. Was something like $45,000. Got back to the dealer
and tossed the keys back and told nope, too much $$$. He told me now hold on, we are not done
talking. They ended up knocking of the cost of the Hot Wheels package. Ended up buying it for
35 at the time plus with my trade got a nice deal thus ending my vette days.
Fast forward to about 4 weeks ago and several cars later I stopped in to the dealership again. I have bought
many cars from one of the salesmen there so I do go in there a lot. I at the time had a 1998 SS/Z28 that was
very heavily modified and on nitrous. N/A was at 492 whp, Didn't want to get rid of the Camaro but have been
wanting a C7 from day one. Went in to the dealership not planning at the moment to buy but 4 hours later
I was driving off in a new 2018 Z06 1LZ in Carbon Ceramic Matrix Grey.
I spent a few months searching classic car dealerships from all over the U.S. as I wanted old school.
Preferably a 2nd gen camaro, 70 Chevelle, Chevy II Nova to name a few but alas the C7 won after
much thought. Got to drive the car about 1 hour the day I bought it and put about 100 miles on it
on Thanksgiving day before putting it away for the winter. That nasty white stuff showed up.
Past week I have already bought the splash guards, a set of CarboTech brake pads, Jacking pucks,
and just ordered the Borla X-pipe 60547. Probably going to order one of the Tony Mamo ported
throttle bodies, and I am sure more before winters end. When weather turns nice will be spending
a whole day just installing goodies.
Sorry for the long winded post, on to the pictures. These are pictures the dealer had taken as I
hadn't taken any yet.

Thanks for all the Welcomes. All I know is it is going to be a VERY loooong winter.
The time I got to drive the car was awesome. Didn't even get on it very hard
and it impressed me so I can't wait till I can really get into it. Since the
weather was so nice on Thanksgiving a lot of people were out and it really
surprised me the attention the car got. C'mon Spring.
Anyway, thanks again everyone.

Well, I absolutely can't find a picture of my 09 but do have a short video I made that
has a picture of it in the beginning. Don't mind the stupid editing.
Little info on how this video came to be. One nice day I went for a drive.
Parked the car, next drive I noticed a blob of crap on windshield. Went
through mt GoPro video and there it was.
