Hi all, my name is Brian and I am a Corvette owner by marriage and DNA LOL. My wife has had a 1977 L48 since the early 90's. Mostly original with about 90k miles. Currently it is in our Garage and has become a storage table for lawn cushions, cardboard boxes, I can see the tires so I think it is still there. It has not been driven since 2003, and it is time to get her up and running again. So that will be the project for me to get done. It will need probably need a full going over and I am aware that the investment - ROI will be a big NEGATIVE, but it has sentimental value and hopefully will be passed down to our kids when they are ready, so that will tell the ROI to shut up.
About me I worked on cars forever and all types and jobs, I changed a tire at age 5, I change a flywheel in the driveway on a 71 BelAir as I rested the transmission on my chest. Took autoshop in highschool, then joined the Navy to work on planes. After I got out, I took up SCCA Autocross, Rally and Solo II in my local region with a Subaru 2.5 RS, because the WRX wasn't in the country yet. I had kids and the Subaru turned into an SUV, and my wife's 90 Vette turned into another SUV. The 77 went into the garage in 2003 and has been there since.
I do probably 98% or the work on my vehicles, I have 3 things I tend to not do on my own, but i would either love to try, or don't have the time/space/tools to do the job such as, Paint, transmissions, and gas tanks. Other than that everything else is mine
Glad to be here, and looking forward to asking lots of questions about restoration of the 77 and helping out in return if I can, even if it isn't car related, I know quite a bit about computers.
See you all on the threads,
Brian
