Excited to join the club!
Today marks 1 full year since I bought my C6, but I'm new to the forum. Here she is:
I haven't spent a lot of time on the forums so I hope those pics uploaded properly. That's the day I picked up the car, a 2006 convertible, 3LT package with a 6-speed manual. I swear, there's just something so....right about driving with the top down and grabbing a gear on a good road. The mileage is probably higher than average for this forum: got it at 71k miles and it now has 74k. It would have more but my job moved me out of the beautiful wonderland known as Texas, and now I'm in a frigid tundra that has left me unable to drive for nearly 5 months now (I believe the locals call it "Wiscaaaaahhnsin", which translates to "holy hell this place is cold, for the love of god don't move here I can't even remember the last time I was warm"). When the weather doesn't suck, I drive the car about as often as I can, with the top down 90+% of the time of course!
Anyway, the car is mostly stock right now aside from a catback flowmaster exhaust and slightly wider than OEM Nitto Invo tires, both of which were on the car when I bought it. The tires will be replaced soon due to age, I'm still trying to decide what the new rubber will be. The only mods I have planned are a newer head unit eventually, and I'm tossing around the idea of a rollbar because I want to try out some HPDE events. Currently there's no need to add power because I can already tell this car's limits are far above my own, and it's honestly sooooo much overkill for the street.
Even a full year later, I still can't believe this car is mine sometimes. I'm a fairly young guy (just turned the big two-four lol), but I've lusted after Corvettes my whole life. When I was a young kid, the C5 was kicking *** and taking names from the likes of Ferrari, Porsche, etc., and that left an impression on me. I never had the Lamborghini wall posters in my bedroom; I always dreamed of owning Corvettes. So it still gives me chills when I start the car, and I smile every time I drive it. But hey, I'm preaching to the choir right now, y'all already know all about this haha.
Well anyhow, I just wanted to drop by and formally introduce myself before I racked up too many posts around here. Take care!

That is one very nice looking C6 vert. Welcome to the forum and I hope the weather cooperates this year so you can get plenty of time driving with the top down.
