Bucket-List Item
So there I was, standing in the Chevy Dealership drooling on a brand-spankin' new Silver '63 Split Window Coupe. I was 11 and Dad was buying a new family sedan and, for some odd reason, just would NOT consider the Vette! My little soul was crushed! Over the years I saved my lunch money, grass cuttin' money, birthday presents, and every penny I found on the sidewalk so I could buy my dream car ... then I joined the Navy, got married, raised a family, retired from the Navy, went to work in the food industry, retired again and, somehow over the years, got old ... so much for my Corvette.
Spring forward more years, I've pretty much given up on ever getting my Vette, though it remains on my Bucket List, and what does my Lovely Young Bride present me for my 67th birthday? You guessed it, a beautiful bone-stock, Silver 2007 Coupe! The only options were the Z-51 package and Competition Gray wheels and it had a whoppin' 94K on the clock. (OK, so it's not a '63 but it's close enough!) Previous owner must have been as **** about his car as I am because it was absolutely spotless inside and out. I've had the windows tinted because Southern Summers are a bit warmish but that is all I plan to do to it because I feel it is simply perfect as the factory delivered it.
So now you know my story and I look forward to many years of "Spirited Driving" in my old age! (by the way, my Lovely Young Bride will turn 67 in October so if you have any suggestions on what I can get her to top my Vette ...)

Welcome aboard! Congrats on two retirements and congrats on your new to you Corvette. It’s never too late to join the family. Enjoy your Vette every chance you get. As mentioned above take your bride to any location of her choosing for a lunch/dinner day trip in your new Corvette.
