Glad to be a new member. I have just come out of a 15 year hibernation and have decided to get back into the car scene. I have had numerous F-Bodies in the past including an 85 IROC, 89 RS, 91 Z28, 96 Formula, 01 Z28, 01 Formula (11.0@122). After my Formula was stolen several years back, I was very down and discouraged so I just faded into the background for a lot of years.
I am pleased to be back now, and am currently performing exhaustive research to buy a Vette. I have a budget of $70,000. I have narrowed my choices to a 2012-2013 Grand Sport, or a 2018-2019 Grand Sport. I am leaning towards the C6 because I can get one with under 10,000 miles for around 50 to 55,000. If I want a C7 GS with under 10k, I am looking at mid 60's to 70k. If I take the 15-20 I will save buying a C6, I can put my own personal touches on it.
Since I am a drag racer at heart, this vehicle will see occasional track duty. Goal for the car is high 10's. Any and all feedback is appreciated. I am excited to be out of retirement, my G37x is a nice car but doesn't satisfy the speed itch.

Welcome to the forum. When you decide whether you want a C6 or a C7, you might want to make a thread in the appropriate section to get feedback from current or past owners of that particular car.
