Default need some help

just purchased my first vette a '06 C6 Z51. i have 300 miles on it have noticed some disturbing fit and finish issues with the interior. the carpet has pullede away from the console bt the e-brake and ther appears to be no way to pull it back in place. its almost like the console hase come loose (it doesn't appear to be) or worse the car has twisted (not possible i hope). the ashtry also will not stay closed every bump it pops open. i live in vegas and it HOT. the ashtry appears to be a heat related issue. both are minor but with 300 miles not what i expected and hopefully not a sign of things to come. should i be worried.

There have been posts about the ash tray door in the past. You may want to use the search function. I believe some were because the trim frame where there is too much clearence. Or if you want post in the C6 General section. (to the left side of page) As far as your carpet goes, is there enough excess carpet to tuck it back in under the consol? I know this was not much help. But, do stop by the C-6 General section. I am sure you will get and find out all the info you will need. One more thing, Welcome to the C-6 family.
