Corvette Production Weekly Constraints – 7/20/06

Weekly Constraint/Production News - UPDATED
Constraints are distributed based on Available Days’ Supply (ADS), Controlled Method or Percent of Allocation (POA). Dealers can use the weekly constraint wire to see the basic availability of an option. The percentages on the weekly constraint wire are estimated based on the national retail number of the constrained option divided by the amount of retail orders being allocated for the week.

If you already have a TPW you're safe, the constraints only affect orders that a dealer is trying to place with the factory. I picked a bad time to try to order a LMB coupe 
They 'plan ahead' so they can keep the production line running at full capacity. If they know they'll be low on blue paint, they limit the number of orders they accept so production doesn't stop until the paint gets there

This week the wheels are not constrained but I have no way of predicting what will happen the week that your dealer has an allocation.
Constraints come and go based on plant and supplier capacities.

I wonder if they are having issues with the Atomic Orange paint and the new SMC panels.
No coupes with the painted tops, and the Zs would require the same painted roof panels. But no constraint on AO with the transparent roofs.
