Has anyone heard when in the '07 build, GM will begin issuing the new Key FOB? And for the ones who pick their '07 up prior, will they be afforded the opportunity to have the new one as well? Ken?

I would like to know if and when those of us who have already taken delivery of a 2007 will receive the new fob!

We were in the factory Friday doing the Factory Tour connected to the NCM delivery and ran into the GM person who was doing the testing of the new FOB. We asked him what the problem was with the new FOB and he said that it failed the drop test and had split at the seam. We asked him when the new one was going to be available and he stated that he did not know. We then asked what would happen regarding the 07 owners who received the old style in regards to getting the new one and he said that his latest information was that GM would not seek out those owners but if they got in touch with the dealer who supplied their auto, the old FOB would be replaced with the new at no additional cost.
