Extending a GMPP
Well I had (5) more emails this morning from customers wanting to know if they could extend their GMPP's that were due next month. This is probably the 100th time I have posted this so here is the rule directly from GMPP:
Can I renew or extend a GM Protection Plan?
In most cases, yes. Coverage can be renewed anytime during the manufacturer's warranty. After the manufacturer's warranty has expired, coverage can be renewed if the existing GMPP/MRP contract has at least three months and 3,000 miles of coverage term remaining.
Again the magic number is 3 MONTHS AND 3000 MILES LEFT OF YOUR ORIGINAL GMPP. Also this has nothing to do with the original manufacturers warranty as I have customers calling me and telling me they only have 3 months left of their 36/36 original warranty-IT DOESN'T MATTER IT IS ONLY IF YOU HAVE A GMPP ON YOUR CAR.
Hope this helps and remember 10-1 is the price increase so get your GMPP now.
